CAD Assignment
Some of you may recognize this bottle. I have drawn it in a surfacing program (Rhinoceros) once before. However the program did not understand what I was trying to do. Now that I am learning SolidWorks I drew it again, and this time the program knew what I was trying to do!
To help better understand How the bottle is made I have a section view bellow. There is an insulating layer of air. This space could also be a vacuum for even better insulation.
Well just looking at the bottle and if that is a space for gas to keep something cool or hotter inside, if you don't do the same to the cap then that is where you will loose either the cold or heat from inside the bottle. It looks like that cap would be capable to have the slot. Also if you add a rubber gasket between the lid and bottle that too keep from loosing the cold or heat. Cool bottle though.. I could see it being used for meds. that need to stay cold.
